Heber J. Grant counseled, “We...urge, earnestly and always upon the people, the paramount necessity of living righteously; of avoiding extravagance; of cultivating habits of thrift, economy, and industry; of living strictly within their incomes; and laying aside something, however small the amount may be, for times of greater stress that may come to us.” As a relief society presidency, we would like to encourage the families in our ward to “prepare for every needful thing” by making a monthly preparedness goal. By breaking down the overwhelming task of food storage and preparedness, we hope you will be inspired pick up a few extra items every month.
